Countable/UNcountable

En esta ocasión les traigo 2 vídeos de sobre la gramática del Inglés, los productos contable sy los no contables (countables/uncountables) y finalmente los cuantificadores gramaticales del ingles (any/some).



En estos videos podrán reconocer rapidamente la diferencia de los valores contables y los incontables asi como su apropiada denotación en el uso de some/any.

Past Progressive/Continuous

Exceptions in Spelling

Exceptions in spelling when adding ingExample
final e is dropped (but: ee is not changed)come – coming
(but: agree – agreeing)
after a short, stressed vowel, the final consonant is doubledsit – sitting
l as final consonant after a vowel is doubled (in British English)travel – travelling
final ie becomes ylie – lying

Use of Past Progressive

  • puts emphasis on the course of an action in the past (hacer enfasis en una accion que se hace al momento)
    Example: He was playing football.
  • two actions happening at the same time (in the past) (dos acciones que ocurren de manera simultanea)
    Example: While she was preparing dinner, he was washing the dishes.
  • action going on at a certain time in the past (una accion que ocurre en un momento determinado)
    Example: When I was having breakfast, the phone suddenly rang.

Form of Past Progressive

  • P: He was speaking.
  • N: He was not speaking.
  • Q: Was he speaking?
